There does is a genetic connection with some sort of head wobble in this morph, but it does not seem to show up in all spiders.
Be aware of it, and buy from a reputable breeder.
Mine hasn't shown any signs of a head wobble.
Regardless of this possible problem, I still think they are one of the most amazing morphs out there. They have it all goin' on: beauty, personality ( they are quite friendly in snake terms), and possibilies.
Good luck!

thanx for the expert opinion and the heads up about problems with the spider phase. I think i will not take the risk with that much of a investment.
It's my opinion... far from expert. The way these animals always challenge & teach, I hope I never will be one.
I went through the same research as you are doing. Personally I felt it was a risk worth taking, and have not been dissappointed.
You will find there are many conflicting views on just about every aspect of keeping ball pythons..
Ultimately it it is up to each individual to decide how best to keep their animals and how to spend their money.
Best of luck in what ever you decide!

Hi Grandma! What gave it away? My son's T-shirt or the logo on the box? Really, I'm not on Steve's payroll... just a Very Happy & Loyal customer.

I asked the same question on this forum last year after purchasing a spider that had the shakes. She was just under 100 grams and the wobble was quite noticeable. The response from the "community" was that this is a fairly common trait in spiders but it tends to diminish as they age. It did not affected her feeding, and as others have said, the spider personality is great. She's now over 800 grams and the wobble is no longer noticable.
Even with this characteristic, I whole-heartedly recommened a spider...beautiful snakes, great disposition, co-dom genetics and the extent of the "morph potential" has yet to be fully realized!
I totally agree with you... I am so thrilled with mine.
They are like debutantes... beautiful and charming.

to my knowledge it in no way affects the health of the animal and it doesn't necessarily pass to the animals offspring. some may get it and some may not. i've never seen mine do it and even if she did, so what. i don't really see it as an issue.
