Here are the new chucks after having a chance to heat up and get some food in their stomachs. The male is my favorite but the female is a sweetheart. The male is named Bacon and the female is Biscuit.lol. They are good eaters, and I am surprised with the aggressive attitude of the male; he bites!lol.

That's a lovely pair of chucks you have! My chucks are my favorite lizards, they're so incredibly personable. It sounds like they're settling in nicely, you're going to have a great time with them

do you know the locale? Yeah some can be aggressive. I had a male that actually used to lunge at me with wide open mouth if I got too close. I also notice the animals between the CA/AZ border and the Palm Springs area have a ttendency to be more aggressive than the AZ redbacks.

Yeah I do. They are from a small area near San Diego County, the breeder told me they were from a small mountainous area actually. I am not sure the exact area, I forgot the name.lol.

They seem to be calming down with each passing day, they are both great feeders too.

Thanks for the reply.

No, I called the breeder again to refresh my memory. He said it is the Jacumba Mountain local. I have never heard of it but he said it is a small, rare area chuck. He is a good guy so I believe him. Have you ever heard of it?

in the Jacumba Mountains. That color is pretty typical of that whole area between Palm Springs and San Diego. Yes it very attractive but common. Rare in captivity though mostly because of CA laws. Again very nice lizards. Tom
