substrate depth?

jruffing27 May 12, 2006 08:52 AM

I am designing my dwarf monitor cages so that the entire bottom is covered in substrate. What depth should I make the substrate? Is 8" too shallow for ackies and kimberlys or should I go deeper?

thanks

you should go as deep as you can, they will always dig to the bottom of it at some point, and the deeper it is, the better the chance it will hold a burrow well, and do the things you need it to do.
