I love experimenting! With new backgrounds that is! Sean recently got some expanded PVC sheets to build cages with and the material was perfect for a test photo session! So, I gave it a shot and I'm actually VERY happy with the results I got!

I like black backgrounds a lot but it was so difficult for me to find the black melamine (of course I never tried a cabinet shop). Also, the black melamine is somewhat shiny so it does reflect quite a bit of light and casts a slight reflection underneath the animal. I kind of liked the effect but it's nice to have an alternative too! The biggest problem I had with the black melamine was that it is so easy to scratch and I ended up with scratches all over my one and only piece! This PVC stuff scratches too but since Sean's using to build cages, we have tons of little drop off pieces which is perfect for baby boas!

I liked it so much that Sean's going to build me a little PVC photo box which should work well for other animals too like Green Tree Pythons! We can mount a branch in it and it would be perfect! I'm also going to have him make me a white one as well. And, I want to take a piece of black and a piece of white and glue them to each other. That way, all I have to do to switch from black to white is flip the board over. It's SUPER light weight which is a BIG plus when dragging around Daytona LOL!

Anyways, I took some new photos of the strange Hypo litter. I think the black does a better job of showing the TRUE pink/red/orange coloration on these little girls. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks for Looking!
Celia

So solid, so clean, soooo colorful! They all look outstanding!!! Even those normals look awesome. I think the black PVC is perfect. I really like the black look without the reflection. Your photots just keep getting better and better.

I love all those babies, as I know you guys do. What are your plans for Devilhead? Is she going to stay there? For some strange reason, I'm especially attracted to her. I can't 'splain it.
