Man Scott,
I hate it when that happens. I once lost a baby Honduran for near two months when I didn’t realize it could squeeze between the glass panes of my vision cage.
The best way I've found to locate escapees, is to patrol the area once an hour where the snake was lost. Their is a good chance you will cross paths with it.
If you can confine the snake to the area of escape! Do so. This will make your patrol easier. Also if your snake is a night hunter, use a flashlight at night when looking. Don’t turn on the lights; it might spook the snake back into hiding.
One last place to look, try looking under anything that has a power source. These things usually put out a small amount of heat, where the snake will try to stay warm underneath.
He will turn up!
Good luck

Here is a pic of my escapee!!!!

Thanks, Nice snake. My is a anery, he is only about 15 inches long. Thanks Again
I posted down on someone elses lost snake post, and am about to say about the same thing
. Look near all heated areas, block all sinks that he could get ontop of and into, block small under-door spots (weather stripping broken? Mine sure was), and leave out a water bowl in several places. I even left a mouse out in some places where I left hiders. I found my snake...or it found me...8 months later...it was A OK and is now gravid. Your's will turn up, just block all escape points and lock up any cats or anything.
Check in cabinets, closets, hampers, etc.

Hey Scott,
Hope you found your snake. But in case you haven't yet, here are a couple of suggestions. I posted a thread a few months back about me losing my ghost honduran one afternoon. A few hours later, my labrador retriever was barking at a pile of firewood and my ghost was indeed there...So, my first suggestion is, if you or some friends of yours have a working dog (like a labrador retriever or golden retriever or a beagle )...the type of dog that is known for keen sense of smell, get that dog and have it go around the room for half and hour and see what it can sniff out.
My second suggestion that I ended up not doing since my dog found my ghost was an advise given to me by a friend of mine who is a zookeeper. He suggested that if you lost a snake in a room and you are convinced that he is still in the room, turn on the airconditioner to a point that it gets to be less than 60F and is constant at that temperature. Then set something up on the ground or floor that mimics your cage...let me describe to you in detail...get a flat cardboard, like 2 feet by 2 feet. Put some aspen bedding on it. Then in the middle of it, place a small snake "housing" hiding place (of course openings on 2 sides...The snake housing I am talking about is like a wooden inverted U-shape structure that you buy in some pet shop in the herps/snake area of that store...and then the last ingredient is put a desk lamp right next to eat that the lamp is pointin towards the snake housing...it's like setting up your snake habitat but situated on the floor... The idea is the whole room is air-conditioned to below 60F but that snake set-up on the floor is heated....and the purpose of course is to lure the snake into it when it finally wants some heat. Leave it like that for 2 or 3 nights and see what happens. This method has worked before according to my friend and in my opinion is worth trying.
Hope any of these help.
Good luck to you!!!

and not "eat" ...when I said "a desk lamp right next to eat that the lamp is pointin towards the snake housing"...obviously it should read "lamp right next to it"... guess my mind is on food right now as I am about to get some lunch...
later...

Still didn't find my snake. I have 2 Siberia Huskys, don't know if they could find the snake because I have 2 ferrets and a chin in my room, they love little animals??. I set up a heating pad
under my bed with a pinkie on it tonight so hopefully in the morning he'll be there or eat the pinkie. Did your ghost hounduran get outside then your dog found??. Nice snakes. Thanks Scott
No, my ghost hondo did not go outside and my dog started barking at it when it was hiding in a pile of firewood that I use for my fireplace area. Glad you did do some set up with a pinky...at this point, trying anything is worth it.
Well, hope you find your snake!!! Best of luck !
