color enhancement question?

adamjeffery May 12, 2006 10:41 PM

i once seen an ad for a reptile color enhancement liquid. i believe it had beta carotene in it. their were different types though blue, red, yellow orange. i cant remember who sold it or made it.
i would also like to state that a big controversy was going on in the rat snake forum and i really dont want to get into if it is right or wrong. i understand that "someone" might use it to misrepresent their animals but i really dont believe that any responsible people here on ks would partake in such practices. im just intersted to see if it works or not.

The only thing that actually works is food coloring in the bath water. And that only lasts till the next shed.

The best place to start is to get full spectrum lighting in your snake room. It will bring out the natural colors of the animals and of course, no harm to them.

Available as flourescent also.
