Best Cage 4 x 2

smilin-buddha May 13, 2006 06:19 AM

I am looking into getting some 4 foot cages. I have looked at Boaphile. Called once email once and have got no response. I liked vision, but they are $260 without shipping or heat . SO I was wondering in that price range and with two doors. What is the best cage going price and service. I called reptile basics. The builder was nice called me right back same day. Offers deals if you buy more than 5. And if I pick up at Daytona the price is lower.

Thanks Todd

Sounds like you had some of the same experience that I did with Boaphile. I like their 4 footers and did buy one even after experiencing poor communications. I waited weeks just like every other buyer and like most of them, I was impressed with the product. I needed new racks, called and emailed around, and had some of the same experience, poor communications. I had very specific needs and requirements and did not want to invest a good chunk of change and end up with racks that did not meet all of my needs. I had already built a few racks and didn't want to do that again. I liked them but wooden racks are heavy and not easy to move. I never had a single problem communicating with Animal Plastics. They have great customer service, always get back to you, have racks and cages that assemble quick and easy and disassemble quick and easy which means I can move them around easy. Check in the classifieds and you will see used cages and racks for pickup only. Portability is an important feature. Plastic has gone up in price because of the oil prices going up. I know AP has had to make some adjustments to their pricing because of this. I'm very happy with their products as are others in this forum. I always recommend them. I have 4 and will probably add a 5th one this year.

Lets see days later still no return email from Boaphile. Emailed www.constrictorsnw.com/. Got response in 12 hours. Called and talked to the owner great guy. Cage would be here in three weeks or less. Two different heights as well two different colors. Available with two doors and locks. Guess which one I am going with.

Next time you're in the market take a look at our site, www.o2plastics.com. We do 4x2x 18" high for $199 shipped, including 4 cam locks, and we ship every Wednesday.

Our site is still a little rough, but the cages are great.
