Quarantine time????

TSUSnakeGuy May 13, 2006 05:12 PM

I had a friend just bring me a 3 foot wild caught corn. I have it set up at my g/f's place so it isn't near my snakes. How long should I quarantine this snake before I can put it in the rack with the rest of my corns?

3-6 months is the standard time. Keep it on paper towels to begin with. That way it is easier to detect ticks and mites. Also I recomend that you get a fecal float (about $15) Also be sure and use disenfectant directly after handling.
