Found this one today in north Alabama near a creek..i'm thinking speckled kingsnake?

That would be a black kingsnake (lampropeltis getula nigra), speckled kings occur in cenral-southwest Alabama. Hope this helps you out.

That looks alot like the speckled kings I've found in TN, in the southern parts of the state. I suppose it could be an intergrade with the black king (which I believe occurs farther north). The nigrita I've found around Nashville have aberrancy in pattern, but not dots like the one pictured. Just an observation/opinion based on my experience.
