Need help with eggs!

Jezabel May 19, 2003 07:08 PM

It's the very first time I incubate eggs so I'ld like to know what you think about it. He's 2 pics. 3 out of 22 look bad but they look weird since the beginning. The other look great I think. They where lay on the 6th of april, incubate at 82-84 degree (my homemade incubator is not perfect yet)and at 85% humidity.

Thanks for your help!

You may want to remove the discolored eggs and keep them together in a seperate container, but continue to incubate them. If they should get a fungus it could spread to your good eggs, which look beautiful.
You can candle the eggs, which means hold a penlight up close to an egg to see if you can see red veins inside, if you do, they are good fertile eggs.
I've often read that cute little beardies can come out of really ugly looking eggs, so unless you're real sure an egg is bad, keep incubating.
Check your substrate every few days to make sure it stays moist.
Good Luck to you!

Thanks alot for your help!

I've candled the eggs when they where lay (45 day ago) and I've seen veins, so I guessed they where good.

I'll separate the 3 one that look bad and continu to incubate.
