I'm not sure were I would post this. My dog kepp barking at something in his kennel so I went to check it out and it was about a 4 foot GM. Is it commane fo them to be in areas were other animals are keep. And what are the chances it will come back and kill my dogs. It went in a hole under the traier. and i haven't seen it scents. I guess i'm just trying to get some info on them. Thanks

An Eastern Diamondback killed my sisters 2 Jack Russells. Either catch it with a hook or tongs and let it go far away in an unpopulated area or call a local animal warden or remover. I wouldn't kill it. Where do you live? Please keep us posted. Derek

they have both hemotoxic and neurotoxic venom..Not good for dogs or people I would suggest getting ahold of a professional that would move it for you.

Not all scutes have neuro toxins...only certain isolated populations have them. Also certain isolated populations of Tigers and Speckled rattlesnakes also have neuro toxins.

Thanks every for your answers. Sorry I haven't posted sooner but my phone lines been down.
I live in southern nv. I called animal control and they said if it comes back for me to catch it and give them a call and they'll take it away. And they told me to be sure and get all the animals away first. But I haven't seen it any more I'm wondering if it left and just got caught in the kennel with the dogs by accedent. I talked with my horseshoer and he said he all ran in to one and a neighbor siad they had 3 so far this year. I've been here for years and never had them before. I use to have wild kingsnakes but have't seen him in a long time. Sorry for rambling on.
