A getula locality guessing game...

foxturtle May 14, 2006 09:03 PM

This is an F1 female from adults found in the same location. There aren't too many places where kings look like this. What do you suppose she is? What area did she came from?

I have seen similar animals from Coastal South Carolina & Southern GA, especially the Coastal regions. Nice snakes.

Hillson was pretty close too... This one is from parents that were captured on an island in Hernando County, Florida. If that female produces this year, I should be getting a pair from her.

Hernando County is 2 counties off from Pinellas!!!!!!!

I like the chain pattern and speckling on the Hernando kings. They kinda remind me of Suwanee kings... I bet with a little refinement they would look really sharp.

Keith Hillson May 16, 2006 03:39 PM

Wait arent they seperated by only one county ? Not too mention my guess is closer than the Between Tampa and Lake City guess lol. Im just hasslin ya Nick. They are pretty nice looking snakes. Where did you get that one from ?

Actually, she's in the collection of a friend of mine, as well as her mate. They're CB 2 years old and huge. The male is even bigger, already looks like he's over 4 feet. The parents were collected by a friend of his on an island off Hernando, but I don't think they're around anymore. If this female produces this year, I should be able to get my own pair from her.

I'm gonna say south Georgia or north Florida

reako45 May 15, 2006 07:42 PM

I'm guessin' Southern Georgia (not sure of the counties out there), just because of the locales of the other snakes it looks like its integraded with.
