In the first 5 seconds he nipped her?

Ok. So heres the thing I have two geckos. One male and one female. They are both 7 months. You can clearly see the pores on the male a long with his "testes". Today i decided i would put them together to see what t hey might do. I was suprised to see that when i put them together (i moved the female to the male's habitat) he nipped her as soon as he got close enough! I was wondering if this guy is very horny, territorial or etc. Well I personally think he was trying to get it on with her, since he is always trying to get to her side of the cage. Well any thoghts im very curious

ya he is trying to get it on with her, but you shouldnt let them "get it on" until she is at least 1 year old or at least 55-60 grams in weight. its kinda like 15 yr old kids gettin it on, just to young and to small. other health and side affects can occur too.

Fattiesnleos has said it perfectly, its not about breeding as soon as possible. You need to keep your gecko's in top health if you are going to breed and it can require alot of time and love. Your female MUST be over 50grms, but I prefer to wait till around 60ish give or take a few either way. You can breed males quite young and when young they like to get it on as soon as they can. And with being young they are quite fast at moving too, usually faster that a 60grm female
