Where were you? Somewhere in SoCal right? Nice finds for just 1 day! What time of day were you out? The Cal King (?) looks kinda different from those I've found this year. Are those rattlers Southern Pacifics? The gopher you found was definitely a San Diego Gopher. Looks just like the WC 1 I keep.

the rattlers were southern pacific, i was searching near westlake. Those are the only fazed kings we have seen around here. I am yet to se a white/black banded king.

Westlake is Ventura County, right? I'm down the road a bit in Chatsworth. We've got the Santa Susana and Santa Monica Mtns around here. I think for desert phase you'd have to check out the eastern part of the state, southern Nevada or Arizona. What time of day were you out?

yea its in ventura county. I was out around 9am-2:30pm
