Any guess of locale of this BCI?

robertmcphee May 15, 2006 10:20 AM

I bought this girl at a local show here in Michigan ($75). She was very unique as a neonate, and has continued to have a unique look to her now as an adult.
Here she is when she was younger...

a little older last year...

And now, she'll be ready to breed this season, now what to breed her to....

Bought her as a colombian, but she seems to have a different look to her, and she is staying a bit smaller....any guesses, and I know that they will be purely guesses as their is no known background on her.

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob. First, she's really a looker! Second, I would say she definitely has some CA influence in there, especially if she's staying smaller and those tail saddles are screaming CA. My best guess would be Costa Rican or a mix thereof. She's definitely a pretty girl! Good luck finding a suitable mate for her!

Thanks Billy,
That is what I had been leaning towards. I bought her as a colombian, but I see something more in her. At any rate Ill just breed her as a BCI with no known lineage....maybe a "Cyclone Hypo" in her future. I think Ill use this guy on her this year!

Thanks again
Bob

Nice Bob! Don't think you can go wrong with that plan! Good luck!

PS - here's a pic of my male CR x Mexican (hopefully het for tiger). Not a very good pic, but you can kinda see the CA tail saddles/markings and that orange patch on his head.
