These Heating Elements/Controllers.

Hi guys.

I found these two things that look good for heating/controlling...Just seeing what yall' think about them.

Heres the first link.

And here's the other.

Anyway. It's a 23 foot long "Zoomed Heating Cable" by ZooMed.

I would be using this to heat my breeder boxes (Plastic boxes) and my baby boxes (Plastic shoeboxes) both from rubbermaid.

And I was looking at the "Electronic BAH-1000 Thermostat" to control the heat...The cable(at around 85-90 degrees) would basicly just run through my wood shelfs and under a part of the plastic shoeboxes.

Thanks!

And to add to that...If I didn't use that...thermometer thing. That keeps the tempature stable...I was going to try to get a rhostat or w/e they are called from Home Depot or Lowes and then use a tempgun to find the temp of area and adjust it to my liking

Thanks again.

I would stay away from heat cable.... A safer more reliable heating element would be flex watt heat tape...

Ok does the flex watt heat tape plug into a wall? or the temp controller I was talking about

Ok...Well the tape I'm not to sure about, is there anything cheaper that would work...the rope looked good.

I've been using heat rope for about 2 years now. I haven't had any problems and none have burnt out. You would definately will need a reastat because it gets HOT.
