Miniature eggs, any one else ever seen these?

Kyle05 May 19, 2003 07:15 PM

So we have a female who apparently was gravid, but the eggs she is dropping are about half the size of normal beardie eggs. She laid a total of 20 of them everywhere around the cage over the past 3 days or so. Today a final clump in a corner. It is very strange. We got her right after she laid a clutch of eggs (like the day after) and she was very skinny and shouldnt of been shipped. She never really gained to much weight back and never looked gravid at all. We have only had her for a month if I didnt mention that. Any ways, just wanted to know if any one else has had this experience and knows what causes it. Thanks!
Kyle

Your right, she should not have been shipped right after laying and also knowing that she could still produce more eggs... not a real caring breeder there.

Infertile eggs as often smaller and even fertile ones will plump up in time and be much larger as the babies develope.

Try to really work on getting weight back on her as she can start producing even another clutch, nice soaks seem to relieve them also and she probably will be drinking a lot in the water
