This must be a tough year...

stevenxowens792 May 15, 2006 10:07 PM

Not one mention yet of one being taken? Troy H, any luck yet?

I hope this isn't a prelude of things to come. My hope is that the year is just starting off late.

Take Care,

Steven

I don't think the "crowds" have hit yet....I think we're all going to hit at the same time.

I think the April new moon was too early. Add the price of gas and you may find people waiting for prime time to make the trip. Some rain would help. We're on the road Wednesday night and will be in Del Rio for Saturday night. We have been east, south and west this year and it has been anything but a typical year weather-wise, herp-wise, whatever! We're hoping for the best.

Lance and I will be out in 2 weeks. I imagine he will want to hit the river road at all costs... So we might be there a few days. This year look for a Nissan Xterra. No fog lights. (I hope his reg's are enough). Weather looks so so this past week. Not rain but temp wise. It is still a bit cool for us this time of year (in DFW). Are you bringing your Cell Phone again?

Best Wishes,

Steven

It has factory fog lights, and they work the shoulders great for cruising. Think brown with a single tractor light up under the back bumper.

Steveo
We plan on some days on the river as well. Gas was $3.12 a gallon last month while we were there. Temps were over a 100 a day. We were the only ones on the road that night.......Priceless. (no snakes -LOL) Hpoe to see yous out there. Cell # is the same.
