What happened on Jimmy Kimmel?

eunectes4 May 16, 2006 01:44 AM

I saw tonight Jimmy Kimmel had a wildlife group on and he was bitten by a snake. I had just tuned into the channed as the snake was striking out of a box and hit him on the hand. The strike appeared to be like a large deffensive python strike but they had medical people take him to the hospital and he was talking about buring.

Apparently they were passing the snake off as a rattlesnake but from the split second I saw it would have had to be one big EDB and one very dry bite.

I then assumed the bite was a joke because they had the entire cast of Grey's Anatomy on the show from his hospital bed later on. But for some reason they kept him looking like he was sweating and were acting very much like he was bitten by a venomous snake.

Did anyone see the show? What was the deal here?

I was hoping someone would ask about this.

My impression, is that a bite did happen (I tuned in as the medics were surrounding him), and that the second half of the show in the hospital bed was taped after he was much better, because he didn't look sick at all. Of course, I could be wrong and the whole thing could've been a ratings scam.

"Ratings scam"? I'm guessing you guys aren't regular viewers...

I didn't see the show in question, but I found this:

Nope, not a regular viewer but I do know Jimmy Kimmel's comedy. It would not surprise me if he did a show from a hospital but it would be all to coincidental if he was having the Greys Anatomy cast on.

I wish I had seen more of the show and especially the beginning where they had the snake. The snake did not look robotic from the split second I saw. It looked like a deffensive python strike. They did nice work.

Thanks for the link though...I could not find anything on it when I did a google search. I started looking before the greys cast came on figuring it would have been newsworthy if it was real. Shoot, how well it was played off was news worthy.

Ever see Steve Irwin visit the Best Damn Sports Show?

He pulled out a Western Diamondback (I recall...it was a while ago). It was funny to see Michael Irvin bolt to the back of the studio audience and stand by the exit doors.

The rest of the cast freaked pretty good too...lol.

It looks like a hoax. If you watch the snake movement. It moves with the handlers hook or grip. My opinion.
