Northern Va. Local: Eastern Milk

davester May 16, 2006 11:00 AM

Check out this wild Milksnake. My friend droped it off to me yesterday after he caught it crossing a field going to a fishing spot. I will be putting it back were it was caught after I offer a meal(even though it is already "plump".
Thanks for looking....

great looking snake ! I would do exactly the same as you would...feed it and then bring it back to where your friend found it and give it its freedom.

Thanks for sharing the pic.

Here's a Va.locality eastern milk from Luray, Va. I guess that's somewhat northern Va. Or Northwest. I think this milk looks kind of simular to yours.

Thanks Steve. Actually this one came from Front Royal and you are right there is a defenite resemblence. I will be releasing and hopefully I will see it again. You know I also caught a huge Wood Turtle in this location a few years ago too. There are some rare reptiles around and hopefully more people will practice catch and release.

I hope to see more of them in the future...
