Hello everyone. We lost Figment this morning. Our first loss since Petey. And before that, we have been pretty lucky.

Figment just seemed to grow weaker and weaker over the weeked. His travel mate arrived dead at the petshop, so I wonder how heathly he was to begin with. We only had him a few weeks.

Everyone else is fine, and doing great. We are down to 11 eggs from 13, but my "egg"spectations are not high. It is our first clutch. I just hope to get one hatchling for my boy.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's so sad to loose a pet.

Thanks for the post. So dissapointing. I know it is not my care, as everyone else is so beautiful and healthy. Too bad! I need to replace him before my boy finds out....

I am also sorry to hear you lost him. Darned, it is tough to lose these guys!

Thank you for your e-mail. I know they are just lizards, but I have to admit, that I do get attached. I talked with the pet shop, because I have lost others when my shop purchased from the same vendor. I explained incubation and how higher temps produce a quicker delivery, but usually the result is not good (from what I have read). I believe that is what happened to Figment. He was fine, and just went downhill. The tank was perfect temp. He recieved only spring water. Water bowl clean. Dusted crickets. Heat lamp on at night. He had it made! read my new post to see how my luck changed today!
