I replied to your post below. I mentioned some things to look for.

Based on the belly (plastron) shot, I'm assumming that this is a different turtle. This one is a little tougher, and the photos aren't real clear. The head doesn't appear green, but it almost looks like the eyes are red. Also, the plastron looks more concave. I'm sorry, I just can't tell based on the photos.

Here's a shot of my male ornate. He's pretty typical of male coloration. I hope this helps. He was just waking up from hibernation. That's why he looks hung over.

Based on the head color, I would guess female
although a clearer photo would help.

I had a female that appeared to have red eyes,
until she was held up to a male and their eyes
are blood red, hers were more orange.

Male ornates usually have a bright green or yellow
head, while the female heads are usually darker.
