Light Timers

MVaughn Jul 31, 2003 12:57 AM

Ok I kind of started pet store in my extra room. (not really I just got so many lizards) Anyways the light plugs are a real pain to get to every day. I found some cheap light timers, but they only allow one chord to connect into them and they take up the whole outlet. I just want some cheap, simple timers that can hold numerous chords. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

get one that can hold a lot of watts. then(do NOT exceed that amount)plug a power strip into the timer and plug your lights into the strip...it should work pretty good... it might also help to put a surge protector with a ground light on it in... dont want u to catch ur house on fire

Use the radioshack computer controled timers. They are expencive but worth it. I run all my light on them. It ran me about $50 for the initial software and one timer. Each extra timer will run you about $10-15 and they need batterys. I run my whole herp room off of a computer in there. It works out great. You can program it for diferent light intecidys and temps for diferent times of year and everyhting but be ready to spend $200-$300 on this if you chose to go this rout
