Noises?

chachacha May 17, 2006 09:37 AM

Lately, my crestie has been making some really odd noises when I try to go and pick him up. I pick him up with my thumb and first finger around his middle. He never bites or anything and loves getting attention. I know that they can "bark" but I thought that was like a mating call or something. Any comments?

I've heard an amazingly large range of vocalizations from mine: growling, screaming, squeaking, a kind of whiny complaining, an angry squirrel noise like a CH-CH-CH-CH, chirps, whistles, grunts and a peevish "nyeeaahhh". That's just the vocalizations! Other noises include clunking, thumping as they land on glass, the tink-tink while they climb on the screen covers and cricket-hunting noises. Most of mine are in my bedroom and apparently I'm not a very sound sleeper, but I really enjoy hearing them.
