Catching Lizards

SandmanDi May 17, 2006 01:17 PM

Hi all, how is everyone? I live in the desert and there are so many retiles out here!! It is crazy!!! Just today we were out working and we saw two very large Desert Iguanas and like fifteen zebra tailed lizards!! The only problem we are having is that everything is way to fast to catch. We don't want to hurt or do anything to the lizards, we would just like to be able to catch them and study them. If anyone has experience trapping lizards then please help us!!! I love it out here with all these lizards I just want to learn about them more!! Please help!!!

What desert are you in? In California you need a fishing license to catch Reptiles and you can only use your hands, no traps. And the ones that are protected by law you can't even mess with. So you may want to read the Fish and Game reg's first for your area.
