This is my 1.1 Albino granite's from highendherps. The won next to the water bowl is Dollar my male and the won in the water bowl is Cents my female. Dollar is about 5 1/2 feet and Cents is 20-26 inches i think. These are old pics of when they were younger. I will try to get updated wons. What do you guys think?

New bloodline albino burmese. All albino burms being produced today are from 2 males, both brothers that came in together, one went to clark and the other brian sharp. They both produced albino burms the same year.

Here is a new line that came in a while back. alittle different looking then the captives..

PHAlex May 17, 2006 04:50 PM

Thats gorgeous do you know if anyone has produced offspring from it yet? Thanks!

The first albino to enter the U.S. was a single wild caught male in late 1982. Clark successfully used it to produce hets and later the first captive born albinos in 1986. There have been at least half a dozen more captured in the wild since then. Not sure how many were imported, but it was a few I believe.

beau May 18, 2006 12:57 AM

How is that not accurate? There were two that came in, not 1, clark got one and sharp got 1. Then there have been more caught over the years, but Im not aware of any in the states or being bred.

HighEndHerpsInc May 18, 2006 08:28 AM

Not to try to stir things up, but are you sure you aren't confusing this with the first albno boas,.. when Kahl got one and Sharp got the other?

If I remember correctly Clark got the one and only male albino burmese from an Asian zoo after having seen it in National Geographic or something, for about 20k. My memory is a bit foggy but I remember reading something like this in Reptiles magazine.

No, there were two. I am friends with sharp and kahl personally. I know very well of the albino boas abd the albino burmese. Call brian sharp and ask if he produced a clutch the same year as clark did.

-ryan- May 22, 2006 05:29 PM

That information contradicts the general knowledge of albino burmese pythons. Clark was the first to ever produce them in captivity, and as far as I know, no one else produced albino burms until they were able to aquire offspring from clark.

from Tom Crutchfield? Can't remember to be honest but since everyone is adamant I through this in for arguments sake lol

exactly, general is the right word. Research it. Of course clark isnt going to advertise for another breeder and tell everyone in his articles and webpages.

I am stating facts, sorry if you dont know the truth.

wstreps May 26, 2006 08:09 AM

so you think you have the truth? Were you there and know the whole story? Ernie Eison

ballpythons18 Jun 07, 2006 06:57 PM

I thought Clark and Sharp produced the first captive bred albino burms the same year in 1986? I read in reptiles magazine that 2 snakes were imported and Sharp and Clark each got one? I think that is what I read.

beau May 18, 2006 05:17 PM

And actually the 2 males were stolen from Mr. Dang in Thailand, sent to malaysia, mario tabraue imported them and sold them to tommy crutchfield. Although, Mario didnt have anything to do with them being stolen, Tommy confirmed that this is what happened.

Then from Tommy, one went to clark on breeding loan and the other to sharp. The both bred them and produced offspring the same year, I could be wrong and it could have been the following year, but this is what happened. The rest is history.

You have some very nice looking animals. I particularly like the dwarf het albino poss het green and granite. And judging by the wide and scattered pattern I would say that the het green is a near certainty.

Thanks for posting these pics.
