Pheonix Worms

melgrj7 May 17, 2006 03:09 PM

Has anyone tried large pheonix worms (18mm) for their adult leopard geckos? Are they to small or will the adults still eat them?

Thank you.

They love the Phoenix worms. I have three adults and one baby. Phoenix worms are high in calcium, very good for Geckos!!! I usually buy mediums for the adults and Extra small for the baby. They last until they run out (i.e. they do not die out) but they grow and turn into Soldier flies which the Geckos also love. I offer both crickts (gut loaded..dusted) as well as phoenix...

All doing well and thriving (Two were rather then with purchased...now have nice fat tails!)

Phoenix worms are also way less smelly and easier to keep (you do not need to feed!)

You can get them at either: Blackjungle.com....phoenixworms.com

They may seem expensive, but since none die...there is no gutloading, and they are sooo good for reptiles...

p.s... Thanx for the compliment...

Thanks, I order some large ones online from wormman.com. I also have a box turtle so hopefully he will like them as well. I measured a mealworm and from the sizes they told me a large pheonix worm should be slightly smaller than a mealworm.

Thanks again!
