Yesterday was feeding time. My boa struck the cage so hard I think she knocked her self out. I say this because after she bounced off the glass she just was laying there, her head was off to the side and her jaw was misaligned. I counted to 12 and it was almost like she "came to". She lifted her head and realigned her jaw. She struck again, this time the glass was open and she flew about 1/3 the way out the cage. She has NEVER had a feeding response like this.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

I have a large female that is semi retarded, she smacks the glass almost every day. A couple days ago she even knocked a tooth out on the plexi door. As far as knocking herself out, no I don't recall it happening, other then maybe stunning herself.

My baby boy Hypo, always strikes the glass, don't know why he does it, you'd think he'd learn by now. He never knocked himself out, but he did peel his front lip back over a tooth and took him forever to bring it back. A little blood here and there. It's ok though, it'll grow hair on his chest.
