Jobiensis

and the most interesting monitor in the hobby,

Argus

and the best pet monitor in the hobby,

Dumeril

and the most frustrating thing in the hobby is waiting to see if any hatch.

And someday soon, I will try to get a few to play with, I am almost ready.

There are lots and lots of pretty monitors so its very hard to compare. I do remember the old days when all monitors were drab.
This little fella is kinda pretty

The second one down is real pretty.

Lets look a little closer.

This has some value in that area as well,

This little V.flavirufus, is kinda nice,

This orangespot(mine) is kinda pretty too, I have seen much nicer, Jobi has pics of screamers,

I think I have a few more, let me rest a second. Cheers

Best pet monitor would have to be V. albigularis

What about the best? I will be willing to settle for the funnest.
Ok, enough hints, I want to see the mertens.
Oh, and Gracie should have been posted as the prettiest.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

or you ask for mertens.

It is funny to teach monitors to hand feed, one must use protection, hahahahaha

Back to pretty colors.

And to think those colors are from an indoor monitor without the use of UV. Hmmmmmmmm they said it couldn't be done. Do you want more. hahahahahaha

dberes May 18, 2006 12:30 PM

Those colors are intense on that fella. Good work.

All of those are very pretty. I am most interested in you working with peachies. I know very few have been captive bred. If anyone can hatch some consistantly, it would be you.

I also love baby Dumerils, but I do not have any pictures of my own to post, yet. Hopefully I will either later this year or sometime next year. My fingers are crossed.

in my opinion the best and prettiest pet monitor, my only little baby sav. hes getting really tame, and is an enthusiastic keeper and in my eyes the prettiest animal iv ever seen. theres a really pretty little timor at the pet store i work at, but it constantly stays hidden and every time i get it out to get it used to people it voraciously bites me. i dont like using welding gloves unless hand feeding (though i prefer tongs) because it seems like the animal would become used to the big blue cold gloves, not the big scary pink hot rock that is my hand. it just likes to grab hold and chew for awhile. ouch ouch sharp little fella
anyway thats my opinion, but all those fancy monitor species pics are real pretty, makes me wish i had more room
