Snake Measurer

Venom_Within May 18, 2006 03:04 AM

Does ANYONE have the program created by "Serpwidgets", which he/she called "Snake Measurer"? I have found the old posts and links, but as expected, they no longer work. I believe it has been nearly 4 years now, so it's doubtful anyone still owns the program... But anyway, if you do, or if you happen to know (or be) Serpwidgets, or anyway I can contact him/her, please let me know via e-mail, or just a reply to this message. Thanx!!!

I downloaded it and measured my snakes!!! My hondos are 38", 33", and my largest garter is 32".

I worx by taking a pic of the snake from above with a ruler or dollar or something you know the measurement of making sure to be parallel to the floor when taking it. Then you "set unit measurement" by clicking on each end of the ruler or whatever and if it's an inch, you type 1. Then, you go to "begin measuring" and click along the spine all the way to the head and it gives you a close-to-accurate reading as long as you got your set unit right.

Thanx again you guys!!!

Thanks. Looks like a cool way of finding out how long your snake is.
