My snow laid about 23 eggs 68 days ago. I scanned the archives for proper care of the eggs, but I believe the vermiculite was too wet. The eggs began to get moldy but I read that the mold does not seem to harm the eggs. I assumed I would be lucky to get one and low and behold I have...so far. It was on the bottom too, so it was a very pleasant surprise
I want to make sure I take good care of the hatchlings if they make it. I know not to 'help' them out of their shells as it will kill them. I am concerned the affect that the mold may have on the new hatchlings. I am assuming I should move them ASAP after they (it) comes fully out of its shell?? How long does it usually take for all of them to pip after they start? How long should I wait to get rid of eggs that do not hatch? I figure at least 85 days? Any other information you can pass on would be great. My baby went through so much to lay this many eggs that I don't want to let her down by messing them up. Thanks! Laurel
