Racks VS. Aquariums for smaller snakes

jojay327 May 18, 2006 12:55 PM

just curious if smaller snakes such as corns and rats would benefit from a rack setup rather then the typical 20 or 30 Gal. aquariums people tend to use. Would they feel more secure because they can't see out of a rack( as opposed to four glass walls) I was thinking of getting a 4 tub rack( 34x16x6 tub size) would this be ok for corns and rats. I need the space for my bigger burms, but still want to keep the corns ect. Thanks Jason

Well not really that bad lol but if your looking to house multiple animals in a area and wanna save on space then yes the racks are the best way to go ,

If you are not super inlcined about viewingthem at a glance thrugh a cage/ tank then yes the racks are the best way to go.

Racks are IMHO the best way to keep more then 2-3 snakes esp that size if you again are not worried about the aspect of being able to view them while siting in the room etc . Larger snakes IMHO are better in larger cages ( by this i mean boas & burms etc . corn snakes etc can live there lives in rack systems and thrive greatly. If ya have any other questions ill be happy to answer them for ya .
