That is urates and is usually a sign of low hydration and/or foods high in oxalates. Increased soakings and providing a constant supply of water in addition to providing a humid hide coupled with a good ambient temperature should reduce or eliminate the chances of bladder stones which usually result from a better than good hdrated state.
