i bought some play sand at home depot... and i was wondering if this is safe for bd's? i was told it was before, but after seeing it and the colour and everything, i'm not too sure? it's grey in colour. is this alright?

not sure by the color... the sand at our Home Depot here that is safe to use is a tanish color.. what you want to look for is washed childrens playsand that does not contain silica... make sure you sift it through a small screen first to sift out the large stones and pebbles that always come inside the bag... these can be very bad for your dragon if they eat them.

I do know as long as its washed playsand its ok to use. I dont like the home depot sand around here though, too many large particles and it doesnt look that great. I know out west the play sand is grey, they get it from different sources.

I like the playsand from Wal-Mart. I use a 5 inch fish net to sift it though and then I use the net as a (pooper scooper).
