Which would you recomend?

phiber_optikx May 18, 2006 05:15 PM

I am wanting to get an arboreal and am not sure which I would prefer. I am looking for something that stays relatively small (under 6' or so) and something that is not extremely demanding. Which would you prefer, an ATB or a white lipped python?

0.1 Snow Corn "Hope"
1.0 Ball Python "Wilson" (Castaway)
1. Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Chunk" (Goonies)
.1 Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Peaches"
0.0.1 Mexican Black Kingsnake "Onyx"
0.0.1 Black Ratsnake "Molly" (Flogging Molly)

As we say in Missouri, "I ain't goin back to Missouri!"

If you don't consider daily care to be "extremely demanding" then either species would work. Both need exact humidity and temperature requirements as well as alot of space as they mature.
Also keep in mind that both species are aggressive by nature and require a bit of care when handling.

I would personally go for an amazon but I may be a bit biased.

I'd go with the ATB also, I dont think the care is very difficult and they are pretty fun snakes to own.
