i have a three toed box turtle ... at first when i got it i didnt know it was a girl so i named it scooter ... now ive found out its a girl ... its been 5 years since then and i got a lot of info from this forum ... she lived inside in a tank and now outside in a big outdoor pen ... no more lettuce just veggies, fruits, slugs, and earthworms ... i hope im feeding her right now ... but i think its time for her to have some pals ... i heard a good ratio is one male for every two females ? and i was wondering if anyone knows a trusty seller who might be able to sell to hawaii ... thanks everyone

in general, it is best to keep seperate unless intoducing for breeding. especially with how bullish males can be... they will pester a female nonstop. and in an enclosure, the female cant get away to rest.

If you want more of them, please find Captive-bred specimens and keep them seperate.
