My dream is to go pro breeder. Can anybody tell me how i can go pro breeder, get into reptile shows, become a recognized breeder. Can anyone help?

You need to start with money

Ok, i know i need money, but what do i do? which isnt a problem, a little saving here a little saving there and i have what i need.

I'd say buy a male het and a few female possible hets of a recessive morph that will hold its value. Recessive morphs hold their value a lot longer but co-doms pull it in faster.

i already have the snakes. i just want to know the steps like, how to get into rep. shows, publicity, become a recognized breeder. Will getting a website posted on kingsnake and reptile magazine really help?

ok to be recognized it takes years of good service and a strong customer base. you cannot get a good reputation over night. to get into reptile shows all you need to do is rent tables at them it's not hard. These are all things you should have thought about before buying the snakes, never get into any business without at least a beginning plan on where you want to go.

How do i get a fan base? how do i rent a table at a reptile show? And i did think about were i wanted to go with this business, i just need help getting there, everyone start's somewere.

you get a "fan" base by selling top quality animals and giving top notch customer service, there is no other way, it can't be bought. to rent a table at a show is easy, find out when the show is and contact them and send money, it's that easy. If you want to be able to do this full time with no other job you best bet you will be pulling alot of 20 hour days cleaning cages, documenting, feeding, talking on the phone, cleaning cages some more and cleaning a few more cages. You cannot produce top quality animals without putting in the work or the time. those that have good reputations in this business have worked very very hard for it and put in the years to back what they say. you nor I can just go buy a bunch of snakes and expect to compete with them on the level that they are at, we would be dumb to think we could.
