I thought some of ya'll might like to see this fellow. This is a juvinile Bald Eagle that we transfered to the wild life center. That's one of the center workers holding him. Look at the size of his head Sorry about the pic being big.

I am so into animals. I am working to be a vet tech. Working with exotics is my dream. Bald eagles have always been my favorite raptor!! It would have been a dream come true to have been there. thanks for the awesome pic. I am jealous!

That is an awesome picture. In my area (Southeastern Va.) they seem to be doing quite well. And that is a very good thing.

He was found on the ground in Wheeler in Alabama. He allowed himself to be captured and was lethargic. He was kept overnight by the rehabber who caught him up. He perked up after some fluids and we took him to B'ham. They don't know why he was in that condition. He was transfered down to Aurburn, and they sometimes forget to update on how they're doing. I figure even if he can't fly free again he'll ave a place. Though I do hope he can fly free.

If I saw an eagle every day I would be just as excited on the 100th day as the first.
I get lucky and see then occaisionally while fishing.
Always fascinating.
