Hello,
Just a quick question. My Antaresia maculosa has laid eggs a couple of days back. This is my first clutch from pythons (I’ve been breeding colubrids for several years now). My plan was to remove the eggs and place them into an incubator. However, the female appears to be so “dedicated” to her eggs that I am having second thoughts. What is the opinion of the experts: maternal vs artificial? The eggs are currently inside a plastic container with moist moss. The day temperature is 88-90 F, night temperature drops to 82 F. I understand that the temperature inside an incubator should be stable 86 F, but the thought has crossed my mind, how does it happen in nature?
Thank you for all the help.
