Pituophis catenifer deserticola,

Found this gorgeous beast crossing a paved road in Clark County Nevada. It was midmorning, partially cloudy and nothing else was stirring but a handful of Side-Blotched Lizards. I walked him off the road and into the desert then took a few pics. The animal was not collected and hopefully it will avoid the highway in the future.
