There's a possibility one of my garter snakes may be pregnant. She's starting to show some swelling towards the tail. It's not quite 1/3 of her body yet like everyone says, more like 1/4.
Is there any special behavior associated with gravid garters? I know a lot of ball pythons bask either upside down or coil around the water dish. Anyone notice anything like that?
Is there anything special I should do with either temperature or feeding (suppliments or anything)? I'm assuming small meals until she stops eating on her own.
Finally, when are the babies born? Late summer I believe I read some where. I've been doing research but I understand the difference between reading something and doing/seeing something. Thanks a bunch.
