Last night I fed my adult concinnus a FT mouse. Great, she eats it down and begins cruizing her cage again. a moment later I see her strike at one of the live plants in the enclosure. Baffled by what she could be eating I look in to see her swallowing a large ficus leaf. I couldn't get to her in time to pull it out. I've kept snakes a long time but I've certainly never seen that happen before!

Did the mouse touch the plant?

...but that's normal.

I've had snakes strike at inanimate objects before, but they always spit it out or very quickly regurg.
