hawiiangecko May 19, 2006 09:48 PM

just recently i've been adding more meals to my female boas diet to get her wait up for breeding. after i fed her the second rat into this new feeding scedual she's been really active and flipped her water dish over twice which she's never done and tore the cage up. now my male is doing the same thing. they've all of a sudden got really active for no reason
any help would be apreciated!

Hmmmm, none of my boas are at breeding age/size yet but my BRB's will get real active upsetting the furnishings when breeding season comes. Maybe somehow she's ready? That'd also explain the male going nuts. If she's old/large enough, put em together and see what happens.

thats what i thought. she's a virgin and 6'. she's 10.5 pounds but looks like she needs to be a little thicker and thats why i'm worried. if thats why he is going nuts then i'll put them together.
thanks

Or you could wait until you are confident that she is big enough and increase the rates of safety and success.
