I got these pictures of a toroise that was found running wild (where tortoises don't occur naturally) and I am not quite sure what it is. They said it is about the side of a dinner plate.

I replied to your post in "...what kind?" Herman's tortoise (Testudo hermanni). Probably subspecies "boettgeri". Thanks for sharing. Where was this animal found?
