Abbott Line Eggs

Snakesunlimited1 May 20, 2006 11:13 AM

Last weekend I had no eggs and this weekend I have 44 eggs. That is quite a switch. I got 11 from a sinaloan and 33 from my 2 Abbott's that all look good. My female bigger female is producing for the second year and she laid 21 eggs and the smaller female laid 12 in her first year. They both seem ready for a second clutch but I don't know if I want to do that or not. Here is a pic of the smaller female from last year and her cage.

Here are some pics from about 2-3 months ago to show how the colors come into a Abbott. If any of you go to any of the Florida shows I would highly recommend trying to find Lee Abbott himself. His animals are known for being gorgeous but they are also usually out early in the year and well fed by him. Once you get them they grow like mad and really seem to be one of the healthiest lines out there as far as growth and vigor. I really love these guys.

WOW covers it. I was going to get 1.1 or 1.2 off Don S this year. Actually had a nuber of things I wanted, then we had 1 engine blow $1800, and 2 other cars were in line for repair. SIGH. I still may swing a little of what I wanted.

But that is a KILLER Abbott

Thanks, I have a sibling from the year before that I think is nicer. I need to get pics of both of them updated. They both looked perfect after laying their eggs so I think I am going to shoot for a second clutch.

No he doesn't. He has a nice variety of really nice animals but I have never seen a add anywhere on line. He told me about 3 years ago that he was looking into a website but I have not heard of one being up. I also have not spoke to him in over two years but he was always a nice guy and was at all of the bigger Florida shows. John Schmidt (sp?) from Suncoast Herptological always seemed to share a table with Lee or be right next to him so he might have contact info or access to his animals. He has a web site that I can probably find a addy for you if you email me. John is also one of the guys in Florida who is just great to deal with and he has nothing but quality animals. While I am at it so is Kathy Love of course and she is doing Amazon Tree Boas now and those rule.
