We have a red tail that's not eaten

izora May 20, 2006 10:26 PM

It's been about five months since he's eaten. He just now had a bowel movement. He's terribly grouchy, we've offered him live, dead and stunned. He was acquired after part of his tail was bitten off by a rat and the former owner decided he was too much of a challenge. He was a relatively managable snake up until about a month ago. The longer he goes without eating the grouchier he gets. He will strike at prey but will not eat the prey. We need help in finding out how to get him to eat. He's got no health issues that we've been able to locate, vet or otherwise, can anyone here give us any ideas? thanks in advance--Izora

I made a couple of long posts on the 18th under a post called "Adult Won't Eat". All my good suggestions are there.
