Her eye is... Open

faust16 May 21, 2006 01:32 PM

Checked on her about a half hour ago to find her not in her cage...
instead on the window sill in beaaaaaaaautiful bright green basking position. Truly breathtaking gree. Seemed fussy to be interupted, but climbed onto my fingers without hissing or grumbling.
And... her eye was open. Not squinty or anything, but open.

glad to hear! maybe just a shed.

I glanced at your previous thread and see kinyonga was going to help you out with some supplement and gutload changes - you may want to bring it up again to make sure you are doing the best you can for her.

Ah! THanks for reminding me. What is the best way to gutload or improve my suplementation? So far, to gutload, im using apples and other fruits mixed in with the... Fluker's Cricket Gutload stuff. The Supplementation is again what I was told to use for a senegal chameleon by a reptile specialty store. It's the... RepCal Multivitamins and then the RepCal Calcium powder. Any other tips though would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the help, and she did shed. Really fast compared to snakes... flaky too. Interesting

Cheers,
Faust

Isn't it fantastic the way a chameleon sheds? Chyam shed this weekend in a day and a half. he just rubbed on EVERERYTHING in sight and kept puffing himself up until the skin was gone. Now I have a beautifully blue Nosy Be with some new red markings around his eyes and carpace (sic?? what IS that dang bone around their head called anyway??) Diane
PS Really glad to hear the eye problem appears to be history.
