Amazing Red-Eyed Find

seboba17 May 21, 2006 03:03 PM

I saw a skinny little gecko in my local petland. He was sort of skinny, in a tank with a tortoise and a much bigger gecko, and I felt bad for him. On closer inspection, he had extremely interesting coloring, almost a combination of Snow and Albino. Since he was only 20$, I decided to buy him. When I got him home, I discovered he has two red eyes. I'll post pictures once he's settled in a bit more. Does it happen that babies are born with red eyes and they change, or is this as smoking a deal as I think?

sounds like to me is probably just a regular albino. you mentioned skinny, so the color is probably washed out from malnutrition. the stress probably played a part in his skinniness and coloration as well.. , Good pictures will tell for sure what kind he is.

I do beleive he is a regular albino, but he has truly red, red eyes; both are fully red.

I will do that, I just want to give the little guy a few days to put some weight on without me sticking a camera in his face. The other thing is, hes super sensitive to light, and keeps his eyes shut most of the time if its bright enough to use a camera.
