Handeling question.

jasonw May 21, 2006 03:04 PM

Ok lets say you have a tame boa. you come onto busy times and dont get to handel it for say a month strait. How long before you shoudl expect to see a little bit of agresion? I ask because as of late I have been so busy I have not been able to handel them like I normaly do every other day. I did handel them a lot when they were in front of the camera this past week but I am just wandering if not having the time is screwing up all the hard work I did to tame them

Ok thanks. I was amased at how calm they were in front of the cameras since they have not bee held in a while I figured this actress was at least going to get nails once or twice but they were very well behaved.

Boas are docile snakes on the whole. They don't get "agressive" when you don't handle them, they just get more wild. They trust you less, they are easier to scare. They hide more. They can become hissy, but in my opinion that's more fear than agressiveness. One month wont make much difference either.
