but then again it could be a girl.

My guess is boy but at that size it is difficult to say with any certainty.

This one could go either way- it's got the distinct "V" plastron but the tail looks short, like the females do. The vent is inside of the outer edge of the shell, which can be another indicator of a young female. Time will tell. Good luck with him/her!
